Builds are versioned x.y.z; the beta starts at 0.1.0.
0.2.0 — meet Hollis
Hollis, your butler, explains what he finds and what he'll never touch.
A native Settings window (Disk Butler → Settings…, ⌘,) with every option: goals, autopilot, notifications, drives, your own never-touch folders, iCloud, privacy, updates and Pro.
Fewer permission prompts: until you grant Full Disk Access, Disk Butler stays out of the folders macOS asks about (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Mail and other apps' data) and tells you what it skipped. Notifications arrive quietly in Notification Center, with no prompt.
A clearer menu bar: a gauge style you can choose, plus Settings, Open and Quit in the dropdown.
Fixes: Settings was unreachable; some screens pushed the window's content under the title bar; several settings had no effect.
0.1.0 — first beta
Free scan: finds split installs, leftovers of uninstalled apps, developer and app caches, simulator runtimes, AI model downloads, and large sound libraries — each with a plain-English reason and how to get it back.
Three safety tiers (rebuilds itself, reinstallable, your files) and a hard never-touch list for iCloud, Photos, Mail, Messages and your Keychain.
The menu bar gauge, with a free-space goal per drive and routes to reach it.
History, with Put Back for anything moved to the Trash.
Pro (clean, move, autopilot, iCloud-aware tools) is built but locked during this beta — see the Free vs Pro section. Not notarized yet, so macOS shows an unsigned-app warning on first launch (steps on the home page).
